Patience Ozokwor was born on the 25th day of march, 1958. She is from
Amaobo, Ngwo, Enugu state, Nigeria. Patience attended her primary
education at Abimbola Gibson Memorial School, Lagos, where she
completed here pre-secondary education before relocating to Ngwo,
enugu state due to the heat of the civil war then. She got admitted
into Girls Secondary School, Ngwo, After her secondary Education, at
Ngwo, she failed her final SSCE exam. She later applied for the GCE
(private candidate SSCE) where she made her papers.
She proceeded for a TTC programme at Teachers Training College in
Afikpo from where she proceeded to Institute of Management and
Technology (IMT) Enugu where she studied Fine and Applied Arts,
specialising in Graphics.
Patience never practised Fine Arts for one day. She enrolled in
teaching, radio presenter as wellas a fashion designer.
She knew little or nothing about acting. She was as well reluctant in
joining NollyWood until she was made to do so by Chika Okpala (Chief
Zebrudaya of New Masquarades) who invited her to take part in a
commercial in which she played the wife of Pete Eneh.
It was from there that the interest started accumulating, coupled with
advice from friends and well-wishers. She eventually found herself not
just an actress but an Actress with a difference as her popularity
grew day after day.
Patience Ozokwor aka Mam G was a happily woman, athough a widow now.
She is a mother of two girls and and a Boy; ATHOUGH AFTER HER
HUSBAND'S DEATH SHE ADOPTED ANOTHER CHILD(undisclosed gender ),
PROBABLY A MALE. THIS WAS WHAT MADE HER A MOTHER OF FOUR TODAY.
Mama G has featured in countless NollyWood movies, most of which she
played bad roles. Asked why she plays bad roles, she said: "I am
always happy when I play such roles, because I have a better chance to
tell people what could result from being bad, say witch, witzard,
wicked step mother, evil mother-in-law to mention but a few. I am a
kind hearted woman, approachable and generous, I am not bad in real
life." conluded Patience.
