Information reaching us now says that a pair of twins have been given
birth to, 87 days apart. This has marked the longest time interval
between the time of delivery of a pair of twins, and has made the
Guinness book of records.
It was gathered that their mother, Maria, went to labour 24 weeks
before normal time, and delivered the first baby, Amy. After that her
contractions ceased. The doctors tried to to induce the contractions
artificially, but Maria, did not respond. They finally allowed the
pregnancy to follow its normal natural course.
Luckily, after a whole of 87days interval, the doctors repeated the
induction and this time succeded. The contraction was induced and the
second twin, Katie, was delivered. Katie was healthy and sound, and no
extra medical attention was needed, reports say.
